I am interested in the cooperation in applying to the project Joint Call on Circularity.
My team works on the model of suitable plant and animal production in sub-mountain and mountain areas. Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences has an Experimental Station in Radomierz with 150 ha of extensively used pastures, 100 ha of meadows and arable lands where more than 200 Charolaise cattle are bred. We also cooperate with private owners of sheep farms, placed in the area of National Park. In previous years we have conducted preliminary research on vegetation and soil in these areas. We planned an experiment concern with the possibility of using grassland plant species introduction to improve the quality of fodder and increase the natural value of the area, as well as to determine the effect of reduced rainfall on the species composition of pasture sward in various habitat conditions. We are open to cooperation with the new experiments and ideas.
Wrocław University of Environmental and Life Sciences (UPWr) conducts training and research in the field of agricultural and natural sciences as well as the engineering and technical ones.
Currently five international scientific and research projects carried out at UPWr under the Horizon 2020 program. As part of its cooperation with business, the University commercializes research results and know-how. Poland’s first implementation of development research co-financed by the European Union is the technology of permanent water retention in soil, developed at UPWr. For several years, the University has been listed in the international Shanghai Ranking among the best universities in the world in the fields of: Food Science & Technology, Veterinary Science and Chemical Engineering.
