chemistry; feed analysis; new ingredients; sustainability
Looking for a project to join in which my expertise could be useful to contribute to this call.
I am mainly interested in the extraction, purification and characterisation of different molecules (i.e. polysaccharides, proteins and phenols) with potential applications in the feed industry from microalgae, seaweed and other agrifood by-products with capacity to mitigate greenhouse gas emissions when used as feed in multiple livestock production systems.
I am particularly interested in the use and optimisation of the extraction of multiple compounds using innovative technologies and bioactivity-purification guided approaches for the isolation of functional molecules with potential to reduce greenhouse gas emissions when used as feed additives.
I have strong expertise analysing multiple compounds including heavy metals, fatty acids, phenolic compounds and phlorotannins with proven applications in feed and useful for multiple projects related to circularity.
