Project Objective: Traceability is to overlook the movements of food elements and their addressees at all stages of the processing, production and distribution processes, starting from the exit points until the last moments of their adventures. Hence, all elements should be systematically labeled / named so that they are followed up to the end of their adventure with absolute accuracy. Data on the centralized food supply chain will be recorded using traditional database systems. In the decentralized structure, the same data will be kept on a blockchain network that will be created with the participation of supply chain actors.
a) Mixed planting-livestock systems: The aim is to convert an existing farm or establish a new farm for small cattle breeding and a compact blueberry plantation by using local farmers. Additional plantation opportunities are also welcome. The project team has suitable team member companies and consultants for both areas with succesfull earlier separate projects. The idea is to combine these activities under one roof.
b) Monitoring and / or abatement of greenhouse gases from agriculture or agroforestry: The project team has a great experience from former EU H2020 REMORUBAN project to monitor and reduce greenhouse gases. By using automated systems and excellent ICT platforms we are aiming to reduce waste water, work force, energy consumption and increase productivity and monitoring food at all stages.
c) Information and Communication Technologies (ICT) dimension: The team has also sufficient knowledge and long experience on ICT and is aiming to deploy passive and active RF-ID technology, IoT devices based on BLE, WiFi and LoRa in order to have breeding and planting data collected via sensors at the farmers locations as well as to be able to track food supply chain. Other planned tools are using AI and AML tools for enhancing the productivity and reducing workforce requirement.
We are looking for?
