Breeding, Abiotic stress tolerance, Crop Modeling, Genotype by Environment Interaction
We are looking for collaboration opportunities within the consortia.
- We are developing research on mechanisms of crop adaptation to high latitudes environments to offer farmers diversification of crops in their rotation. We are using crop modeling technology as a main tool to identify key phenological stage and environment variables responsible for genotype by environment interactions
- We are focusing on plant natural variability to characterize adaptive traits and gene expression with the aim of integrating them into new cultivars with improved abiotic stress resistance and better yield.
- Our focus is on proteins crops and especially on soybean
- We have compentencies on plant-microbes interactions and we are exploring agrobiological control products to enhance stress tolerance.
UniLaSalle is a private university located in northern France close to Paris. We are teaching engineers in agriculture, geology, food and health and also master degrees. Our Master in Plant Breeding is known as emPLANT, it is an Erasmus mundus master since 2018;
Beside the academic part, our research unit so called AGHYLE is part of a consortium SFR Condorcet FR CNRS 3417. The scientific domain covers agro-resources valorization in general with multiple axis.
Axis 1. Sustainable production and environmental context
Axis 2. Biomass transformation and processes
Axis 3. Innovative Products et materials from agro-resources
Axis 4. Conditions of emergence for a sustainable bio-economy
