We have expertise in the integration of data from different sensors (field sensors, meteorological data from public stations, etc) in a web or app platform for environment characterisation, using data mining techniques to describe it and build prediction models to forecast its behaviour. We have also expertise in automatic dosage regulation of pesticides and fertilisers based on disease prediction models, GPS and sensors located in the spraying tractor.
We are a Spanish SME (www.encore-lab.com), expert in electronics and software development. We have developed an agro-climatic information system to support decision making in agriculture. Our main product is Cesens (www.cesens.com). We have reach more than 700 clients in Spain with this Cesens app.
CESENS allows being aware of the risk of infection to apply pesticides at the right time, and also of the needs of water in order to irrigate only when necessary. Taking this into account, it is clear that CESENS addresses currently global challenges.
CESENS is an agro-climatic information system based on IoT/CPS technology that brings support for decision-making in the field of agriculture. CESENS uses own, reduced-cost agro-climatic stations that gather data from the crops in real-time. This information is sent to a cloud platform in which it is processed in order to provide agronomists with high added value data. All the functionality provided by CESENS, including information analysis tools, can be accessed through any device connected to the Internet. The final goal of CESENS is to overcome the current problems in agriculture derived from the shortage of agro climatic information at the time of decision-making, which usually lead to inadequate actions and thus to undesired results such as an unnecessary use of pesticides and water
