Looking for partners to work on a project/research programme improving the resource-use efficiency of forage/pasture/livestock farming systems. We are interested in quantifying the effects of increasing forage plant diversity on the efficiency of nutrient, water and energy utilisation. We have developed scientific method for choosing complementary forage species to use water and nutrient resources more efficiently, whilst also delivering a range of other valuable ecosystem services, e.g. C sequestration, wider biodiversity gains and soil enhancement.
We are looking for partners to test this selection tool in different environments and to model/project landscape scale benefits.
