I am interested in urban farming production systems to recycle the wastes from households/gardens/farm and use the resources as feedstock to produce food with aquaponics and hydroponics and other variants of these technology. I am an agronomist and interested to collaborate with SMEs or industry partners, with expertise in artifical intelligence, machine learning, sensor and multispectral sensing and imaging on urban farming production systems to recycle the organic waste to produce food and minimize the food carbon footprint in urban areas
The University of Copenhagen (UCPH) is the largest research and education institution in Denmark. I work at the Crop Science Section, Department of Plant and Environmental Sciences (PLEN) in UCPH. PLEN main areas of research are within agriculture, ecology, environment, and their interaction with societal challenges such as climate change and sustainability of food production systems. PLEN priority research focus is on basic and applied research activities and collaboration with universities, stakeholders and policy makers in Europe and abroad.
